Fashion Friday Wrap Up

I was extremely pleased with how the latest Fashion Friday hosted by LA East Boutique turned out. The show was great, the band rocked the house, both DJ's made the crowd move and most of all the models were gorgeous. It was exactly the kind of party event that I envisioned--eclectic, diverse and just plain cool. Special thanks to all who came out. Check out some of the galleries

Fashion Friday @ KISS Hosted by LA East Boutique

A Beautiful day

Yesterday, I spent my entire lunch break sitting outside and enjoying the luxurious weather (see photos taken on the Blackberry)...truly a gift from God.

I was thrilled that I was able to get out and about and just "break." Sometimes it is necessary to just take a few minutes for yourself regardless of the craziness of everyday life. Now, when I have to deal with my insane schedule over the next couple of days, I can at least think back to serenity of that "me" time, that I selfishly took without remorse.

It has been an incredible week people. I am proud to know that I witnessed history. Can't wait to see what's next for this country. No rest for the weary, President Elect Obama is ready to get to work, check out the website, www.change.gov.

I must also shout out a few of my favorite independent authors...a big congrats to my people Onika Pascal and John J Terry on their new books...They have just released some phenomenal collections, more details coming soon on both of their projects...

I hope to see you all at my next networking mixer at PJ's Coffee & Lounge on Thursday, November 13th. Should be a good look. Click on the flyer for details.

Peace & Blessings...Happy Friday, enjoy the day!

Obama Wins...No More Excuses

I share a similar sentiment that I have been hearing all across the nation through text messages, the blogosphere, myspace, facebook and twitter...I am so proud to be an American today--for the first time in a long time...no, let's be real, for the first time ever, I am truly proud to be an American.
The cynics may think that President Elect Barack Obama's message of hope and change is a bit unrealistic...but for me, last night proved that we as an entire community have finally, and collectively, acknowledged that things are not perfect and that change has been a long time coming...we are no longer going to lend a blind eye and a deaf ear to the very real and considerable problems we face on all fronts. As Obama said last night, it is going to take us all working together to get it right. I have a renewed faith in fellow Americans and a renewed faith in the impact of my own civic responsiblities.
I'm ready to work, how about you? No more excuses...
