Whirlwind

Be careful what you ask for...I asked to be busy, and guess what? Prayers were answered, now I am just trying to keep up. So, yeah, I’ve TOTALLY been neglecting my blog. I know, BAD MEKA as Jan and Christopher would say; however, I do have a legitimate excuse—I’ve been busy. I have additional responsibilities at the day job as well as an increasingly escalating client base, that is serving as a true challenge…But I am truly loving every minute of it.

I PROMISE to do a real update after the madness of the CIAA weekend subsides. If you are in Charlotte tomorrow and Saturday for the games (and the parties), check me out…feel free to hit my email, goes straight to the phone:-) jameka (at) jswmediagroup.com

Spring In My Step

I realize that it is February, but it is hard to remember that significant detail when it is so incredibly gorgeous outside. The weather is phenomenal in Charlotte, NC--I love my hometown. This spring preview is making me smile with excitement of what the world has to offer...Ever since Fashion Friday launched and JSW Media Group has solidified its staff, I have been busier than ever, but strangely less stressed out than I have been in the past. I guess that is what happens when everything is finally "right."

So my weekends now officially begin on Thursdays, so this is how it went down last week:

Thursday: Fashion Friday Launch Party. View photos here

Friday: Stayed home to recover from the craziness of the Fashion Friday Launch. And most importantly, I was able to catch up with my friends from college (Love you Christopher)

Saturday: Weekly JSW Team Meeting: gearing up for the rest of the quarter and of course CIAA, yeah baby!. Worked on a few projects for church, and had dinner with Mom. Always fun.

Sunday: Church was awesome as usual. Then I got the chance to hang out with Ms. Joy Randall (Flawless Make Up Art) at Mez. Cool spot, and everyone was super friendly.

Anyway, I hope you have all had the opportunity to check out the new site, www.fashion-friday.com. Big ups to our Creative Director (and overall coolest dude on the planet) Xavier Grier for designing such a wonderful site. It feels good when a plan comes together the way that it is supposed to. If you are looking for something great to do this Thursday, check out "The Movement"...music, dance, art---soulful house music all night long. dj rsenal and Johnnie Davis will keep the beats going all night, and we will even have a friendly dj competition, so this is a night you don't want to miss. Come out, support, chill and have a great time. KISS Lounge is the spot...doors open at 10 p.m. Come through.
