It's been nonstop since February, and I simply can't believe it is deep into April, and almost May already. I'll be celebrating 34 years of life on Monday...simply amazing how time flies. Nothing big planned for the birthday...weekend jaunt to Chicago, following by breakfast/brunch on Monday (the actual born day) with a friend, followed by some "me" time, perhaps the spa (not sure of exact plans yet)...Celebrating with a mid-week bday party at Luna Lounge during Pop Life with fellow Diva and birthday girl Ife Moore (she celebrates on April 27th)...and a private dinner party with the girls on Friday night (K-we have to make sure we invite all the usual suspects). So, hmmm, looks like I will be celebrating for a solid week, wasn't expecting that--but God is Good, no AMAZING:-).
This past weekend was jam packed but spectacular nonetheless. Mom celebrated her 60th birthday on April 16th. We turned off our cell phones and hit the town. Dinner, movies, a total girls night out. I even kept my Mom out after midnight, we truly painted the town red (well maybe more like pink, Mom is a minster after all). What's most important is that she enjoyed herself, and we enjoyed spending time with each other.
Other big news of the weekend of course was the Charlotte STYLE Magazine 25 Most Stylish Event for the American Heart Association and the release of its very first print issue...and it's so hot. I could not be more proud of Brie (Mrs. Bridgette West, publisher of Charlotte STYLE Magazine for those of you don't know). She did her thing with this issue, and I am just happy that she thought enough of my team's talent and abilities to hire JSW Media Group as her PR Firm. Another win of course was that client and good friend T.Strong made the cover. Woo Hoo!
Since it was a fashionable event, I had to go all out, so I'm wearing a one shoulder Calvin Klein number, hair styling is courtesy of Mom and my FIERCE make-up is by non other than Joy Randall of Flawless Make Up Art.
