Rock The Red!

My name is Jameka, and I am HIV Negative. I wish that were a true statement for the millions who are suffering from HIV and AIDS all across the world, but the sad reality is that so many women are dying each day--from something that is preventable. That is what I call a tragedy.

We know that unprotected sex can kill us...we know that getting testing is a must. Yet, "Every 35 minutes, a woman tests positive for HIV in the United States."

Today, March 10th is National Women and Girls HIV/AIDS Awareness Day, and I am rocking my red pumps to commemorate those who are living...and dying from this disease.

The reality of the AIDS epidemic is now an unforgettable part of our social fabric...Let's not turn away from the problem, let's address it loudly with bold intensity. Rock the Red, show your support.
